Mike Fogal
Managing Partner
Built his Reputation from the Ground Up
Construction Expertise, Compassion, & Culture
As Managing Partner at Apex Construction, Mike is the man in charge of day-to-day operations. From project management to client relations to estimating to billing, his boots are always firmly on the ground.
By spending his entire career in construction, Mike brings an insightful framework to every project. He earned a solid reputation as a carpenter for builders such as Lennar Homes, Reynen & Bardis, and D.R. Horton. His work as a facilities manager at the Nugget Casino put him in charge of 1.9 million square feet and launched his expertise in the art of construction.
A Culture of Respect & Work/Life Balance
When Mike joined John Anderson and his eponymous construction company, it was clear that a culture of respect was paramount: employees deserve an environment that fosters reaching their true potential while at the same time creating a healthy work/life balance. This overarching philosophy remains a hallmark today even after John sold his company and it was rebranded as Apex Construction. The most compelling component is that every single employee opted to remain with the new company.
The Secret Sauce: Speed, Efficiency, and Trust
Mike took a page from John’s playbook when he was remodeling numerous McDonald’s: keep the drive-through open even if you’re updating the kitchen. You thereby never deprive the franchise from earning revenue! This secret sauce coupled with rapid-fire efficiency and trust allows Apex to build and remodel faster than virtually every competitor. In fact, on new builds, Mike’s team generally completes a project in an astounding 4 months versus the nationwide average of 6 months. Taco Bell, Wendy’s, Panera, Arby’s, and 15 other Quick Service Restaurants (QSR’s) keep Apex as a key premium general contractor partner for these reasons.
An avid local and outdoorsman, you’ll find Mike on a lake or nearby mountain.
